Shahan Mati Promoted to Head SME, Wealth Management & Priority Sales at BankIslami

Shahan Mati has achieved another significant milestone in his banking career with his promotion to Head SME, Wealth Management & Priority Sales at BankIslami. With over 18 years of experience in Islamic banking, he brings extensive expertise in SME banking, wealth management, liabilities sales, branch banking, product development, and business growth.

Prior to this role, Shahan served as Head Liabilities Sales Force, Executive Vice President II at BankIslami, following senior leadership positions including Head of Liabilities & Cross Sell and National Sales Manager. His earlier experience at Faysal Bank Limited and Meezan Bank Limited further strengthened his expertise in sales leadership, relationship management, team performance, and customer-focused banking solutions. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics along with a PGD in Islamic Banking & Finance.
