K-Electric Appoints Former PSO MD as New CEO
K-Electric has appointed Syed Taha as its new Chief Executive Officer, succeeding interim head Adeeb Ahmad. According to the company’s communication to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, the appointment will take effect from April 15.
Syed Taha holds an engineering degree along with an MBA in Finance from Institute of Business Administration Karachi. He has been serving as Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan State Oil since February 2020 and brings with him extensive leadership experience from the energy and utilities sector. His professional background also includes senior roles at K-Electric, Oasis Energy, and Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company.
The leadership transition follows the departure of former CEO Moonis Alvi, who expressed appreciation for the K-Electric team and reaffirmed his support for a smooth and effective transition.
