Ahsan Mushahid Siddiqui Appointed as President & Chief Executive Officer at Soneri Bank Limited

Soneri Bank Limited has announced the appointment of Ahsan Mushahid as its President and Chief Executive Officer, effective April 1, 2026. The development was formally disclosed to the Pakistan Stock Exchange, noting that he will succeed Muhtashim Ahmad Ashai following the conclusion of his contract on March 31, 2026. The appointment is subject to regulatory clearance from the State Bank of Pakistan under the Fit and Proper Test requirements.

Currently serving as Deputy CEO, Mr. Siddiqui brings significant leadership experience and a deep understanding of the Bank’s operations. Meanwhile, Mr. Ashai, who joined the Bank on April 1, 2020, is a seasoned banking professional with more than 32 years of local and international experience and previously served as President and CEO of MCB Islamic Bank Limited. He holds a BSc from the University of Engineering and Technology and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
