Arif Tahir has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director at Nouveaux, formerly Novartis, marking a defining leadership transition in the country’s life sciences landscape.

With over 20 years of experience across pharmaceuticals, vaccines, OTC, and medical devices, Arif brings a proven record of strategic transformation and commercial excellence. Prior to this role, he served as Country President and CEO of Novartis Pakistan, where he led enterprise wide strategy, strengthened market positioning, and advanced access to innovative therapies.

His global leadership journey spans senior roles at GSK and Johnson & Johnson, including regional mandates across Emerging Markets covering Asia, Latin America, and Africa. From driving commercial growth and trade channel optimization to leading multi market portfolios, he has consistently delivered impact in complex and highly regulated environments.

An MBA Gold Medalist from Institute of Business Administration and an alumnus of IMD’s leadership program, Arif combines analytical depth with a purpose driven vision to expand equitable access to breakthrough healthcare solutions in emerging markets.
