Asma Shahbaz has taken on the role of Head of Transformation at United Bank Limited, bringing nearly two decades of experience in governance, enterprise risk, internal audit, and business operations within the banking industry. A Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan, she is recognized for leading strategic transformation and risk management initiatives across top financial institutions.

Before joining UBL – United Bank Limited, she served as Head of Process Governance and Business Operations Risk at Mashreq, where she successfully drove process optimization and control enhancements. Her prior leadership roles at HBL and Standard Chartered Bank reflect her strong command of risk analytics, governance frameworks, and organizational development.

With a career that began at A.F. Ferguson & Co., Asma continues to shape the financial sector through her expertise in transformation and strategic oversight.
