Mudasser Shafiq Appointed as Acting Chief Financial Officer at Telenor Pakistan
Telenor Pakistan has announced the appointment of Mudasser Shafiq (EMBA-LUMS, ACCA, MBA-Finance) as Chief Financial Officer, marking an important leadership development during a period of structural transformation within Pakistan’s telecommunications sector.
With over 18 years of industry experience, Shafiq has held several senior finance roles across complex operational environments. His appointment reflects Telenor Pakistan’s focus on reinforcing financial governance, supporting strategic execution, and ensuring stability as the company advances under its evolving ownership and operating structure.
As CFO, he will lead the company’s financial strategy, governance, and reporting functions, while supporting organization wide decision making and long term planning. His role will include maintaining financial discipline, managing risk during transformation, and delivering data driven insights to guide leadership and operational teams.
Shafiq holds an MBA in Finance, is ACCA qualified, and has completed an Executive MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences. His background combines strong technical expertise with strategic and commercial insight, aligning with the company’s emphasis on resilient and future focused financial leadership.
Telenor Pakistan stated that this appointment underscores its commitment to strong governance and effective financial stewardship as the company navigates industry consolidation, regulatory complexity, and rising investment requirements.
