Naveena Group CFO Omer Nabeel, Along With Wife & Son, Passed Away in Gul Plaza Tragedy

Tragic news has emerged from Karachi as Omer Nabeel, Chief Financial Officer of the Naveena Group, is reported to have lost his life in the devastating fire at Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road, along with his pregnant wife and young son.

Rescue officials confirmed his presence after identifying his vehicle at the site. The incident has so far resulted in at least 23 fatalities, with 69 individuals still unaccounted for, including a firefighter who lost his life while on duty.

The Gul Plaza blaze is being described as one of the most severe commercial fire incidents in recent years, with preliminary assessments indicating a possible electrical malfunction as the cause.

Members of the business community have expressed deep sorrow over the loss, while rescue and recovery efforts continue under challenging and high-risk conditions.
