Rao Abdul Kareem has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Punjab Police, succeeding Dr. Usman Anwar, who has been designated as Director General of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) following a significant federal reshuffle.

Originally from Nawabshah, Kareem joined the police service in 1996 and brings decades of operational and administrative experience.
