Registration for Itikaf at Masjid al-Haram & Masjid Nabawi Begins – Reserve Your Spot Online Now
Authorities in Saudi Arabia have formally opened online registration for Itikaf at Masjid al-Haram and Al-Masjid an-Nabawi as the final ten days of Ramadan approach. A significant number of worshippers from across the globe are expected to apply for the opportunity to observe this profound spiritual practice within Islam’s holiest mosques.
The General Presidency for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques announced that applications will be processed exclusively through its official digital portal. The online system has been introduced to manage the high volume of requests in an efficient and transparent manner. Officials stated that the arrangements are being implemented under the guidance of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Mohammed bin Salman to ensure smooth organization during the sacred period.
Applicants are required to create an account on the official website and submit their details electronically. Given space constraints and security considerations, approvals will be granted to a limited number of individuals, who will subsequently be informed of the guidelines governing their stay within the mosque premises.
Itikaf traditionally begins on the 20th day of Ramadan and continues until the sighting of the Eid moon. During this time, participants remain within the mosque, dedicating themselves to prayer, reflection, and spiritual devotion. Authorities have advised worshippers to rely solely on the official registration platform and avoid unauthorized links to secure their participation.
