Usman Shahid Appointed as Group Chief – Corporate and Investment Banking at National Bank of Pakistan

Usman Shahid has taken on the role of Group Chief – Corporate and Investment Banking at the National Bank of Pakistan, bringing over 27 years of experience in corporate banking and credit management. His leadership journey spans across top-tier institutions, where he has consistently driven strategic growth and organizational transformation.

Before joining National Bank of Pakistan, he served as Group Head – Wholesale Banking and Chief Risk Officer at BankIslami Pakistan Limited, where he played a pivotal role in strengthening the bank’s financial performance, optimizing risk management frameworks, and building high-performing teams. His earlier tenure at National Bank of Pakistan as SEVP and Group Chief further highlights his capability in leading large-scale banking operations with a results-oriented approach.

A graduate of the University of Bristol with a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Usman Shahid’s proven expertise continues to shape Pakistan’s corporate and investment banking landscape.
