Qualification: Part Qualified CA / ACA / ACCA / ACMA. CIA is preferred.

Job Purpose:

To assist Chief Internal Auditor (CIA) in managing the Internal Audit function by planning, executing, supervising, and reporting internal audit assignments, coordinating Audit Committee matters, monitoring implementation of audit recommendations, and contributing towards strengthening governance, risk management, and internal control processes across the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the CIA in development and updating of the risk-based Internal Audit Plan.
• Draft internal audit programs in light of the BAC approved internal audit plan.
• Draft internal audit reports and discuss findings with management and obtain their comments.
• Identify and present significant control deficiencies, compliance issues, and risk exposures to the CIA and ensure its timely issuance to BAC.
• Conduct follow-ups on action items outstanding from the previous BAC meeting.
• Assist CIA in drafting minutes and maintain records relating to Audit Committee proceedings.
• Review audit observations and ensure findings are factual, concise, risk-focused, and actionable.
• Assist CIA to develop the audit resources in a way that their acceptability is ensured across the Organizations in various departments.
• Recommend improvements in operational efficiency, compliance, and governance practices.
• Support special reviews, investigations, and fraud-risk assessments where required.
• Assist CIA in preparation of Audit Committee agendas, presentations, reports, and supporting documents.
