Position Available

Assistant Key Account Manager – UFS (Unilever Food Solutions)
Function: Customer Development (CD) – UFS
Work Level: WL1
Reports to: GSM
Location: Karachi
Terms & Conditions: Full Time

Job Purpose:

Drive sustainable, profitable growth across national and regional chain accounts by building strong partnerships, leading commercial negotiations and Joint Business Plans (JBPs). The role requires a balance of strategic thinking and on-ground execution to unlock volume, margin, and long-term customer value.


Main Responsibilities:

Customer Development:

  • Deploy sales activity plans with key operators using the company’s available sales tools.
  • Lead negotiations with potential operators within company policies and budget; monitor their performance and compliance to take corrective action where appropriate.
  • Unlock annual agreements with potential customers for the company’s strategic categories.
  • Ensure appropriate/frequent contact with key stakeholders in each customer as per the contact matrix.
  • Conduct frequent kitchen demonstrations to key operators to generate incremental business.


Key Accounts Expansion:

  • Agree on a joint business plan with assigned key accounts that delivers the company’s strategic objectives.
  • Set clear performance expectations for key accounts to achieve growth of strategic categories in line with profit guidelines.
  • Ensure flawless execution of agreed plans across all key accounts.
  • Identify growth opportunities across core and innovation SKUs with current as well as new customers.
  • Build a strong pipeline for business development in the designated area.


What You Need to Succeed:

Education & Experience:

  • University graduate (Business Major is a plus).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in managing Key Accounts/Food Services and commercial negotiations.


Skills:

  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • An initiator mindset with the ability to develop a strong execution bias to provide win-win solutions for all stakeholders.
  • Relationship management, financial acumen, sales management, data-driven decision making, and strong key accounts management.
  • Well-versed in English and Urdu.
  • Culinary knowledge/experience is a plus.
