Depot Manager

Role Overview (Based on Industry Standards):
The Depot Manager will be responsible for overseeing all depot operations, including inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and team supervision. The role ensures efficient and cost-effective depot operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities (Indicative):

• Manage daily depot operations including receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods.
• Ensure accurate inventory management and stock control.
• Supervise warehouse staff and coordinate logistics activities.
• Implement and monitor standard operating procedures (SOPs) for depot operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Prepare and maintain depot performance reports.
• Coordinate with sales, supply chain, and finance teams for smooth operations.
• Manage depot budgets and control operational costs.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.

Qualifications & Skills (Indicative):

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in depot management, warehousing, or logistics operations.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management and supply chain processes.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical or FMCG distribution sector is a plus.
