The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is engaged in promoting and developing the game of cricket in Pakistan and maintaining general control of the game. We are currently seeking qualified and experienced finance professionals to join our team as General Manager Finance at our Head Office. Essential Functions, Duties, and Responsibilities:

  • Assist the CFO in managing the day-to-day operations of the PCB’s Finance department.
  • Prepare periodic financial statements and financial reports for presentations to stakeholders, including management, boards of directors, and external parties.
  • Develop and manage the PCB’s annual budget and forecasts and monitor performance against budget targets through variance analysis.
  • Supervise corporate and individual tax-related matters and ensure timely filing of tax returns.
  • Update, develop, and implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Manage investment strategies according to the board’s approved policies.
  • Develop and implement financial plans and feasibility studies to support the board’s strategic goals.
  • Analyze financial performance of the board and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Oversee the organization’s cash flow and liquidity, including managing bank relationships and negotiating banking arrangements.
  • Evaluate and improve the organization’s financial management systems and processes, including financial software and analysis tools.
  • Identify and evaluate financial risks, and implement strategies to mitigate or manage them.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and laws, including IFRS, tax, and PPRA laws.
  • Coordinate with external and internal auditors and assist in execution of yearly federal, external, and internal audits.
  • Collaborate with other departments to understand their financial requirements and provide support.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of finance professionals.
  • Perform any other work assigned by the Chief Financial Officer.


Required Education and Experience:

  • Qualification: A qualified accountant possessing a professional qualification (ICAP, ICAEW, ACCA, or other similar Accounting Professional degree).
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.


Competency Requirements:

  • Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
  • Knowledge of IFRS, taxation, PPRA, and financial regulations.
  • Leadership and team management abilities.
  • Analytical and strategic decision-making skills.
