Senior Executive / Asst. Manager Material Planning

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead material planning for Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), and Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) through MRP, demand planning, and inventory optimization.
• Monitor supplier performance (OTIF), demand trends, and ensure GMP compliance, inventory accuracy, and audit readiness.
• Supervise the material planning team to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence.
• Develop and implement material requirement plans based on sales forecasts, production schedules, and inventory policies.
• Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requisitions to ensure uninterrupted production .
• Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and production teams for timely availability of materials .
• Maintain safety stock levels and avoid stock-outs or overstock situations .
• Analyze consumption trends and adjust planning parameters accordingly .
• Generate and share periodic reports on inventory status, shortages, and material planning performance .
• Support cost-saving initiatives by optimizing order quantities and minimizing excess inventory .
• Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, and quality standards .

Key Requirements:

• Education: BS/BBA/MS/MBA in Supply Chain Management from a reputable university.
• Experience: 3-4 years of experience in a pharmaceutical company, with strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, inventory planning, and demand forecasting .
• Skills: Strong command of Microsoft Excel and planning tools. Excellent analytical, communication, and coordination skills . Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously .
