Job Summary:
The role focuses on sourcing high-quality, cost-effective services aligned with global best practices for contract management and plant operations. The successful candidate will ensure smooth, reliable supply chain processes while maintaining contractor safety and environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop service procurement plans for Blanket Agreements and Orders.
- Supervise contract execution and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards.
- Analyze contractual obligations to align with organizational goals and industry benchmarks.
- Ensure adherence to Supply Chain Contracting Policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Identify and implement opportunities for digital transformation and process efficiency.
- Manage contractor prequalification, maintain approved vendor lists, and assess new potential suppliers.
- Formulate Turnaround (TA) Contracting Strategy in coordination with site leadership and technical teams.
- Lead long-term contract negotiations and manage routine plant services contracts.
- Conduct performance evaluations of contractors and ensure compliance with PSM/EMS/IMS/IFA audit requirements.
- Oversee Scrap Disposal bidding processes in line with the Scrap Disposal Committee (SDC).
Required Knowledge & Skills:
- Proficiency in Oracle ERP and Business Intelligence software.
- Knowledge of taxation and labor laws relevant to procurement and contracting.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and conflict management abilities.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and supplier relationship management skills.
- Awareness of global contracting and procurement best practices.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and data-driven analysis.
Qualification & Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor of Engineering or MBA (preferably in Supply Chain or Contracts Management).
- Certifications in Contracts Management are a plus.
Experience:
- 10 to 12 years of experience in Fertilizer, Petrochemical, or Heavy Manufacturing Industry, ideally within Contracts or Procurement functions.
