Arif Rehman Promoted to Chief Information Security Officer at HBL
Arif Rehman has been promoted to Chief Information Security Officer at Habib Bank Limited, marking a significant milestone in his distinguished information security leadership career.
With over 17 years of deep, hands-on experience across banking, capital markets, and telecommunications, Arif has consistently delivered strong governance, risk management, and cybersecurity transformation outcomes. At HBL, he previously served as General Manager and Senior Business Information Security Officer, leading enterprise-wide information security governance, application security, and international business security frameworks.
Before joining HBL, he successfully built and led the Information Security function at Pakistan Stock Exchange, reporting directly to the Board. His global exposure also includes senior regional security and risk leadership roles at Citi EMEA, as well as consulting assignments with Vodafone in the UK.
Arif holds an MSc in Communications and Signal Processing from Imperial College London and a BS in Computer Engineering from Sir Syed University. He is highly credentialed with globally recognized certifications, including CISSP, CISA, CISM, COBIT, ITIL, PRINCE2, and CCNA, supported by advanced leadership and technical training from institutions such as Citi and Imperial College London.
