SYED ALI MEHDI has been promoted to Vice President, Transaction Monitoring Unit at Bank Alfalah Limited, marking a significant advancement in his AML and compliance leadership career.

With extensive experience across leading financial institutions, Syed Ali brings deep expertise in AML CFT regulations, transaction monitoring, KYC and CDD frameworks, suspicious transaction analysis, and regulatory compliance aligned with FATF recommendations and prudential regulations. His elevation reflects a consistent track record of strengthening compliance controls and enhancing risk management frameworks.

Prior to this role, he served as Assistant Vice President Band II at Bank Alfalah Limited, and earlier held key AML and Transaction Monitoring positions at UBL – United Bank Limited, Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan, Samba Bank Limited, and Bank AL Habib Limited.
