Assistant Operations Supervisor

Job Summary:

The incumbent supports and supervises daily field operations, ensuring compliance with safety, operational, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include tanker and cargo operations, field audits, drills, training, and emergency response. The role requires effective coordination with internal teams, security personnel, and customer representatives to ensure safe and efficient operations .

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily terminal operations, including tanker loading/unloading, cargo handling, and product transfers .
• Ensure compliance with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) protocols, operational procedures, and company policies .
• Conduct field audits, safety inspections, and operational drills to assess readiness and prevent incidents .
• Monitor and maintain equipment integrity, operational efficiency, and housekeeping standards in assigned areas .
• Coordinate with terminal operators, maintenance teams, and quality departments to ensure smooth workflow .
• Support emergency response activities, including firefighting, spill control, and safety exercises .
• Liaise with customer representatives, ensuring transparent communication and service excellence .
• Document operational activities, incident reports, and compliance records for management review .
• Assist in developing and training field staff to enhance operational competence .
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and local port authority standards .

Requirements:

• Education: DAE (Chemical) from a recognized institution .
• Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in terminal operations, refinery, petrochemical, or chemical handling industries .
• Skills: Strong knowledge of bulk liquid handling and terminal operations; familiarity with industrial safety procedures and emergency response systems; proficiency in process monitoring, instrumentation, and control systems; excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to work effectively in a high-risk, safety-critical environment .
