Deputy Manager Legal

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
• Admission: Admission/enrolment with the relevant Bar Council.
• Experience: 04 – 06 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in an established corporate, FMCG, manufacturing or commercial organization or a reputable law firm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, negotiate, and vet commercial and corporate agreements, including vendor/supplier agreements, consultancy agreements, NDAs, service agreements, lease agreements, distribution agreements, and other business contracts.
• Coordinate with relevant business functions to obtain necessary information and approvals for execution of agreements.
• Review pleadings, legal notices, court orders, and other litigation documents and prepare concise matter summaries for management.
• Coordinate with external IP counsel and relevant authorities for filings, renewals, and prosecution of IP matters.
• Identify discrepancies, duplicate/unverified claims, and pending documentation relating to legal invoices.
• Assist in monitoring and researching the applicable legal and regulatory requirements affecting the Company’s business operations.
• Support the Legal Department in preparing legal opinions, regulatory responses, notices, undertakings, and other legal documentation.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong legal research and analytical skills.
• Excellent contract drafting and review skills.
• Strong litigation management and follow-up skills.
• Good knowledge of intellectual property laws and practices.
• Excellent documentation and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
