AM/DM I&E Engineer
Location: Engro Vopak Terminal, Port Qasim, Karachi

Job Summary:

Responsible for the safe, reliable, and secure operation of site electrical systems, instrumentation, and OT cybersecurity infrastructure. The role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, project execution, vendor supervision, technical reviews, reliability improvements, and stakeholder coordination to ensure continuous terminal availability .

Key Responsibilities (Based on Industry Standards):

HSE & Process Safety

• Enforce PTW/LOTO compliance, execute MOC for site modifications, and participate in HAZOP/SIL activities .
• Ensure compliance with HSE procedures and achieve 100% compliance with PTW/LOTO, HSE Standards, and MOC procedures.
• Ensure timely closure of HSE action items and HAZOP/SIL recommendations .

I&E Projects & Maintenance

• Lead reliability improvement initiatives, project planning, scheduling, and technical evaluation .
• Oversee design review, testing, commissioning, and ensure completion of projects as per agreed timelines and budget .
• Review and improve PM strategies, identify reliability improvement opportunities, and analyze recurring equipment failures .
• Implement corrective and preventive actions to reduce unplanned downtime and improve equipment reliability .

Coordination & Stakeholder Management

• Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance, Procurement, and Project teams for maintenance activities and material/equipment availability .
• Coordinate with suppliers, vendors, contractors, and third-party inspection agencies for technical support and timely resolution of technical issues .
• Ensure timely availability of required materials and services .

Training & Development

• Develop I&E technical competency through TNA and conduct internal/external trainings to close identified skill gaps .
• Train peers on critical maintenance work and safety protocols.

Key Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering from a recognized university .
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Petrochemical, Chemical, Oil & Gas, and/or Power Plant industry .
• Strong knowledge of Instrumentation & Control, LV/HV electrical systems, and OT cybersecurity frameworks (IEC 62443) .
• Working knowledge of hazardous area classifications (ATEX/IECEx), HSE practices (PTW/LOTO), and safety assessments (HAZOP/SIL) .
• Experience with SAP maintenance documentation .
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
