Job Description:
You will join our Microbiology team in Pakistan to help ensure the safety, quality, and compliance of materials and products. You will perform routine microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and other laboratory activities, while working with teams across laboratory, production, and quality. Responsibilities:
- Perform bioassay of products and APIs, sterility testing, environmental monitoring of aseptic and non-sterile manufacturing areas, water testing, microbial limit testing (MLT), DOP testing, media preparation, and other assigned microbiological testing activities in accordance with approved procedures and specifications.
- Maintain analytical records, logbooks, and perform data trending as per schedule.
- Perform stability testing of products and maintain accurate records and reporting of results as per approved procedures.
- Perform validation, qualification, calibration, and routine monitoring of Microbiology Laboratory equipment as per approved schedules.
- Perform microbiological testing method validation and verification activities as per approved protocols and schedules.
- Ensure compliance with applicable GMP, EHS, Quality, Data Integrity, and regulatory requirements within the area of responsibility.
- Maintain laboratory housekeeping and ensure a clean, safe, and orderly work environment.
- Promptly raise and report any misconduct, compliance concerns, or quality-related issues through appropriate channels.
- Participate in and perform self-inspections and support timely closure of identified observations.
- Raise change controls, deviations, OOS investigations, and related quality system records as required.
- Support laboratory inventory management, procurement coordination, and maintenance of laboratory materials and consumables to ensure uninterrupted laboratory operations.
Education, Experience and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Microbiology is required for this role.
- Fresh to 3 years of experience in a microbiology or pharmaceutical laboratory.
- Practical knowledge of basic microbiology techniques such as culture handling, media preparation, incubation, plating, and colony counting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English; able to complete clear laboratory records.
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel; willingness to learn LIMS and SAP.
- Experience with sterility testing, microbial limit testing, water testing, or environmental monitoring.
- Familiarity with GMP, GLP, or quality management systems.
- Experience using LIMS, SAP, or other laboratory informatics systems.
- Basic troubleshooting skills for equipment such as incubators, autoclaves, and other microbiology laboratory instruments.
- Exposure to investigations, change controls, or deviation management within a GMP environment.
- Training or exposure to continuous improvement tools (e.g., root cause analysis).
- Ability to maintain accurate GMP documentation and laboratory records in accordance with data integrity requirements.

2️⃣ OQ Officer (Quality Operations Officer)

Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Science discipline with relevant experience
Experience: Minimum 2 – 3 Years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, production operations, or quality assurance

Job Purpose:
You will provide quality oversight on the manufacturing floor to help ensure safe, compliant, and timely supply. You will work with production, engineering, laboratory, and quality colleagues to detect and resolve quality issues in real time. Responsibilities:
- Perform in-process checks during manufacturing, filling, and packaging to ensure procedures and specifications are followed.
- Perform review of batch documents for manufacturing, filling, and packaging, and laboratory.
- Assist in review and compilation of batch documentation to support timely and compliant product release.
- Support investigations into deviations, incidents, and customer complaints and help implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain oversight of retained samples, batch records, and traceability in line with site policies.
- Coach production teams on good manufacturing practice and promote continuous improvement.
- Participate in internal audits, validations, and quality risk assessments as required.
- Ensure that products are manufactured and released in accordance with GSK QMS, Local Regulatory, and EHS requirements.
- Ensure the management of facilities/equipment condition assessments for GMP/GDP processes, facilities, and equipment to confirm that activities that may have a product quality impact.
Education, Experience & Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Science discipline with relevant experience is required.
- Minimum of 2 – 3 years’ experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, production operations, or quality assurance.
- Practical knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and quality systems.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills in English.
- This role is on-site at a manufacturing facility in Pakistan and may require shift work.
- Knowledge in investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation.
- Familiarity with quality management systems, data integrity, and batch review and release processes.
- Exposure to internal audits, validation activities, or regulatory inspections.
- Training in Lean, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methods.
- Prior experience coaching production teams or leading operational quality activities.
