KDA Recovers 25 Acres of Govt Land During Anti-Encroachment Drive in Surjani Town
The Karachi Development Authority (KDA) carried out a large-scale anti-encroachment operation in Surjani Town, recovering more than 25 acres of government land after demolishing illegal structures and booking offices.
The operation was led by Director State and Enforcement Shakeel Ahmed Khan in Sectors 10 and 13 of Surjani Town. According to an official statement, the drive targeted illegal constructions and encroachments spread across more than 100 acres of state land, marking one of the significant enforcement actions in the area.
During the operation, KDA teams faced strong resistance from miscreants, who resorted to stone pelting and intense firing, creating serious challenges for the enforcement staff. Despite the situation, the operation continued uninterrupted with the support of law enforcement agencies, ensuring the successful clearance of encroached land.
Asif Jan Siddiqui, Director General of KDA, reaffirmed the authority’s commitment to conducting impartial and sustained action against encroachments and land mafia. He emphasized that no illegal occupation of KDA-owned land will be tolerated under any circumstances.
Officials stated that the anti-encroachment drive is part of an ongoing campaign to reclaim state land and curb illegal activities in Karachi, with further operations expected in other areas.
