Umar Chatha Appointed as General Manager and Executive Vice President at JS Bank

Umar Chatha has joined JS Bank as General Manager and Executive Vice President, marking a significant step in his accomplished banking career. With nearly two decades of experience across relationship management, branch banking, distribution management, and retail banking leadership, he brings extensive industry expertise and a proven track record of business growth.

An MBA graduate from the Lahore School of Economics, Umar began his professional journey with Standard Chartered and went on to hold leadership positions at Burj Bank Limited, Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan, and Soneri Bank Limited. Prior to joining JS Bank, he served as Regional Head, Consumer and Retail Banking Group at Soneri Bank, where he played a key role in driving business performance, strengthening customer relationships, and expanding banking operations.

In his new role, Umar Chatha will oversee retail and trade branch operations across the Central Region, focusing on retail banking, private banking, commercial banking, trade services, and key account development. His appointment reflects a strong reputation for leadership, strategic execution, and delivering sustainable growth within Pakistan’s banking sector.
